6th January 2025, National: As the excitement for SA20 Season 3 reaches its peak, Royals Sports Group-owned franchise Paarl Royals have unveiled their striking new jerseys for the upcoming season. Both the matchday jersey and the training jersey reflect the region's rich heritage, showcasing inspiration from Paarl’s iconic landscapes and fostering a sense of pride and connection with the local community.
Based out of Paarl, the largest town in the Cape Winelands, the Royals will continue to wear the vibrant pink and admiral blue, colors synonymous with their identity. This season, the matchday jersey draws its inspiration from the breathtaking Winelands and the majestic mountain ranges of Paarl, including the famous Paarl Rock. The subtle patterns across the jersey reflect the scenic beauty and strength of the region, while the bold pink accents on the collar and sleeves create a smart, standout look.
The matchday jersey was voted for by thousands of Paarl Royals fans across social media platforms, making it a jersey truly chosen by the people.
In an exciting initiative, the training jersey has been designed by a talented student from a local Paarl school, further strengthening the bond between the Royals and the local community. Featuring a dynamic design that symbolizes energy and resilience, the jersey combines elements of Paarl’s heritage with the vibrant colors of the Royals. The creative input from the student has made this kit a truly special addition to the Royals’ journey this season.
The likes of David Miller, Dinesh Kartik, Joe Root, Kwena Maphaka & Lungi Ngidi among others will be seen donning the jersey and paying tribute to the second largest granite outcrop known to man.
David Miller, the captain of Paarl Royals, expressed his thoughts on the jerseys, saying, “Knowing that thousands of our fans helped select our matchday jersey is incredibly humbling. It’s a privilege to represent this beautiful region, and we can’t wait to walk out on the field in these colors.”
The newly kitted Paarl Royals will kick off their SA20 Season 3 campaign at home against Sunrisers Eastern Cape on 11th January 2025 at the iconic Boland Park. Fans are invited to witness the team in action and celebrate the spirit of Paarl.
